New prof

Not much has change since yesterday in gold making. I did however mill and make around 2000 more IoS, which took probably 2 hours. Kind of nice to get all of the milling out of the way; I had tons of herbs in my guild bank for so long. Also, I dropped mining on my DK, and decided to level alchemy. So far I have spent around 2k on the herbs needed....all I need now is frigging stranglekelp! There really is non on the AH. I saw one for going for 10g; not one stack mind you, just one.

Hopefully alchemy will allow for some good profits! Ill update you guys tomorrow on how the leveling went, and how the profits seem to be.

I'm back. Sorry for those who actually read this blog (like there are any readers) for the long break. I kind of got bored of writing about gold making. So I've now decided to just write about pretty much anything that comes to mind. Most days this blog will be about WoW, some days the blog will be about real life issues. Today I am going to recap what has happened the last few weeks in gold making for me.
I now have approx 15k gold in my bank, with about 2000 IoS. Glyphing has been the primary source of my income so far, bringing in a steady 500g minimum a day. Nothing really new in glyphing these days. Herbs are selling ridiculously low at 8g a stack, and there isn't any real campers on the AH right now (crosses fingers). Just the usual people who post a few times a day. The old AH campers seemed to have vanished, probably cause the promise of quick gold didn't happen. I have also been dabbling in the scrolling market these days as well. I was a little weary of going into this market just because I was thinking: well people can get these mats for dirt cheap now, why would they want to spend 200g on something that would cost them 50g? Especially with all the enchanters these days giving away enchants for free. However, I was wrong!!! Maybe people are just lazy, or stupid, but I constantly sell enchants, that cost me roughly 50g to 100g to make, for 100g to 400g. The profit from enchanting scrolls is staggering. Not to mention no AH costs to list scrolls, so you can camp to your hearts content! Anyways, thats all I have to say for now. I might post something tomorrow about some real life topics if I can get around to writing.

Update

So I finally finished my exams and I'm finally able to start writing on this blog again instead of spending countless hours face first in books. First off, one update on the glyph market. So far sales have been going quite well. I make ~400g a day, which is not much...but it takes me ~10 min to post everything once a day. I am at about 7k gold total now! With quite a bit of IoS in the bank, so profits should still roll in.

Also, I got my DK to 80, so i'm going to start leveling JC/BS on him. I honestly don't know much about those profs money wise, but i'm down to learn.

Post 3.3 and farmers

As I am writing this, I am currently making ~700 IoS. The reason for this binge? I found the most elusive farmer! He was in trade chat just spamming, “want to sell [Adder's Tongue]”. After a quick talk, I ended up buy countless stacks for 15g!! Considering Adder's has been going for 20g on my sever, it was a pretty good deal, how could I not buy them all? Having some ink finally is making me feel better. Since 3.3 came out, I haven't bought many herbs because the price skyrocketed to about 25-30g per stack of high level Northrend herbs.

On a positive note, the fair was in town a little while ago, and since I don't actually have the bankroll yet to make cards, I sold my Snowfalls. Actually, I sold all my snowfalls for 20g each :D. Pulled in about 3k in profit in about two days, just off of the snowfalls. The glyphs have been selling at a normal rate, I am still making 400g a day in sales max. But vellums are selling like freaking hot cakes! My guess is because of the new patch and the enchanters are selling their scrolls fast.

Finally, I just want to say that in RL I have exams coming up soon, so I wont be playing much for the next week, (Microbiology, organic chemistry and cell biology have pretty much made me a hermit for the last two weeks :P ). So expect my next post next Friday by the latest!

My business...?

My business isn’t so much of a business yet, more so a tiny corner market… Well ok, more like a hot dog stand, but it’s the best damn hot dogs on the block! I am just getting started in the glyph industry. I have ~220ish glyphs known from books/daily research. Regardless I still run my business like I mean business!

The rundown- I have 3 Glyph posters: Warlock, Warrior, Mage. The warlock posts all glyphs for Death Knights, Warlocks, Druids and Paladins. The Mage posts for Mages, Shamans, Priests and Rogues. The Warrior posts for Warriors and Hunters. Why only have two glyphs for the warrior slave you ask? Well because I also sell vellums/inks/scrolls on him as well. I keep a glyph stock of 3 glyphs. I plan on increasing that amount to 10 in the near future, but right now crafting does not take too long, and I have yet to find a farmer to supply me with a steady amount of herbs.

The economy –The glyph market is a little wonky. There are literally about 5-8 heavy QA undercutters and one heavy QA Ah camper undercutter. Most glyphs sell between 3-10 gold on average, with the market resetting at least once every two days for each glyph. Herbs sell for ~15-17g. What does this mean for me? So far, it depends on how much I AH camp. I tried for a while on using gelvon’s posting method, but in two weeks I earned about 1k in gold. There are simply too many QA campers that don’t care to take a look at the market. What is confusing to me is that some of my competition seem that have a threshold of 1g. That means that they are selling each glyph for .5g (50s for parchment). However, it seems that the glyphs that are selling for that low of a price are leveling glyphs and don’t really mean much to myself anyways.

So I guess my question to you guys is, how do you run your business?

P.S I just hit the jackpot today in terms of learning new glyphs. I bought 14 glyph books for 20g each!

New in town!

Hey all! Just writing my first ever blog!

Firstly I'd like to say thanks for stopping in and checking around!!! Secondly, I'll just say a little bit about myself and this blog.

I've been playing WoW on and off since the release as a priest. Never been really good at making gold, just enough to get by. Then I started reading gold blogs, and WoW blogs in general. Soon I saw my income increase steadily by playing the AH, and being a minor part in the glyph market, (hope to be major soon!). So then after reading a ton of blogs, I decided to start my own. This blog will mainly be about a few ideas actually. First and foremost it will be about tracking my Goal (I will tell you about this later); I also plan on talking about priests and gameplay in general!

So my goal!! I start this blog now with ~2k in gold. My goal is to get to 10k. I will document my progress week by week, and hopefully hit the mark!

My question to you then is, what was your first goal when you started out trying to make gold?
